Trench cutter Lumag GF800
Trench cutter Lumag GF800
- Petrol 9 kW (420 cm³)
- 6.5 l fuel tank
- Cuts narrow utility trenches
The Lumag GF800 is a petrol trench cutter for cutting narrow trenches in the ground — for laying utilities, cables and pipes where digging by hand would be slow and uneven.
It is driven by a Loncin G420F OHV engine producing 9 kW at 3600 rpm with a 420 cm³ displacement; the 6.5 l fuel tank handles longer jobs without frequent refuelling. That power cuts a trench of even depth and width even in firmer ground.
The trench cutter suits opening runs for water pipes, electrical cables and drainage, as well as installing garden irrigation. It is made for jobs that need a long, straight trench with a clean profile.
Digging by spade easily lets the trench wander and the depth vary, which makes it hard to lay pipes at the right depth. The trench cutter cuts an even trench quickly and with less effort — useful from spring to autumn when installing irrigation, lighting cables or drainage.

Warning
- 1 Before you cut, locate underground cables and pipes (via the utility owner or the national geoportal) — cutting into a power cable or gas line can mean electrocution or an explosion.
- 2 Keep your feet and bystanders well clear of the rotating digging chain and wear safety boots and glasses — the cutter throws stones and soil out at high speed.
- 3 Shut off the engine and wait for the chain to stop completely before clearing or moving the machine — a turning chain will cut straight through a boot.
