Refund policy

This is a summary of how cancellations and refunds work at koduaed.ee. The full and binding conditions are set out in our Rental Terms. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights as a consumer; where the law gives you more, the law prevails.

Cancelling a booking (our free-cancellation guarantee)

You can cancel a rental booking free of charge until 2 hours before the start of the pickup window on the first rental day. On weekdays the pickup window starts at 17:00, so the deadline is 15:00 of the first rental day; on weekends it starts at 10:00, so the deadline is 08:00. The quickest way to cancel is the cancellation link in your order confirmation email; you can also write to info@koduaed.ee. The full amount paid is refunded to the original payment method without delay, at the latest within 14 days.

Your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (rental)

A rental booked online is a service contract concluded by means of distance communication. You may withdraw from it without giving any reason within 14 days of placing the order (Law of Obligations Act § 56). If your rental period starts within those 14 days, we make the equipment available during the withdrawal period only with your express consent, which you give with the checkbox at checkout, acknowledging that you lose the right of withdrawal once the rental has been fully performed (§ 53 (4) 1)). If you withdraw after the rental has started but before it has been fully performed, you pay a proportional share for the rental days already provided and the rest is refunded. Our free-cancellation guarantee above applies in parallel: whichever rule is more favourable to you applies.

Late cancellation and no-show

If you cancel after the deadline described above, or do not collect the equipment without cancelling, the rental fee may be retained. This never limits your statutory right of withdrawal where it still applies.

Early return

If you return the equipment before the end of the agreed rental period, the unused rental days are not refunded.

Add-on goods sold with rentals (consumables, protective equipment)

Goods ordered in the online store carry the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal counted from the day you receive the goods, and this applies equally when you collect them at our location. You may open the packaging and inspect the item the way you could in a shop. If the item has been used beyond what is needed to examine its nature and characteristics, we may deduct compensation for the diminished value. The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons once the seal is opened. Return the goods to us at Elise tee 1, Papsaare during the published pickup hours within 14 days of your withdrawal notice; the refund is made without delay, at the latest within 14 days of the notice, and may be withheld until the goods have been returned. To withdraw, send an unambiguous statement to info@koduaed.ee; you may use the standard withdrawal form, which we provide on request. Defective goods are always repaired, replaced or refunded under the seller's two-year liability (§ 218).

Damage

Damage to or loss of the equipment that goes beyond normal wear-and-tear is invoiced separately within 14 days of return. Normal wear-and-tear from correct use is not charged.

If we cancel

If the equipment becomes unexpectedly unavailable due to damage, theft, or force majeure, we will cancel the booking and refund the full amount paid to the original payment method without delay, at the latest within 14 days.
