Telescopic tree pruner Fiskars UP86
Telescopic tree pruner Fiskars UP86
- Reach ~6 m (2.4–4.1 m)
- Cuts fresh wood to 32 mm
- PowerGear — 12× force
The Fiskars UP86 is a telescopic tree pruner for cutting higher branches from the ground, without a ladder. An adjustable shaft and the PowerGear mechanism make cutting easy even on thicker branches.
The shaft extends from 2.4 to 4.1 metres, giving a cutting reach of up to about 6 metres. The adjustable cutting head turns up to 230°, so you can cut a branch at the right angle. Bypass blades cut fresh wood cleanly up to 32 mm in diameter, and the PowerGear mechanism gives up to 12 times more cutting force than an ordinary pruner.
It suits maintenance pruning of fruit trees and tall shrubs, removing dead branches and thinning the crown, where reach by hand falls short. Cutting from the ground means no climbing a ladder or bending.
Cutting high branches from a ladder is slow and unsafe. A telescopic pruner gives reach and a clean cut safely from the ground — useful in spring and autumn for pruning fruit trees and hedges.
- Telescopic shaft 2.4–4.1 m, reach up to ~6 m
- Bypass blades, fresh wood up to 32 mm
- PowerGear — up to 12× more cutting force
- Adjustable cutting head up to 230°
Caution
- 1 Don't stand under the branch you're cutting — falling from up to 4 m, a branch picks up speed and can bounce in any direction.
- 2 Keep the telescopic shaft away from power lines — a damp shaft conducts electricity, and contact with a live line can be fatal.
