The Cedrus CEDZG06 is a petrol plate compactor for compacting soil, sand and gravel. Its reversible drive lets the plate move both forward and back, so you don't have to turn the machine around in tight spots.
The 25 kN compaction force suits bases for garden paths, paving and smaller foundations. Forward-and-reverse travel speeds up the work at the bottom of a trench or along a wall, where there is little room to turn. The steady vibration presses the material down layer by layer, so the surface doesn't settle unevenly later on.
The plate compactor is best suited to prep work before laying paving stones, kerbs and patio bases, and to compacting backfill on garden and landscaping jobs.
Hand-tamping always leaves spots that sink later. A plate compactor gives an evenly firm base that paving and slabs won't give way on.

Caution
- Wear safety boots and keep your feet away from the edge of the plate — a 25 kN plate will crush a foot even through ordinary shoes.
- On slopes, stay on the uphill side and keep a firm grip on the handle — the plate can slide downhill and pull you over with it.
